What is Pollinator Watch Nepal? Pollinator Watch Nepal is a citizen science and education initiative by Wildlife Conservation Nepal that invites people across the country to observe, learn about, and protect pollinators. Whether you’re a student, farmer, or city resident—you can be a part of this movement. What You Can Do Observe Spend just 10–15 minutes a week watching pollinators in your garden, school, or community. Record Note what you see:
Type of pollinator (bee, butterfly, bird)
Number of individuals
Plants they visit
Share Upload your observations through simple tools—or even contribute via apps like iNaturalist.
Take Action Small actions can make a big difference:
Plant native, pollinator-friendly flowers
Avoid harmful pesticides
Create safe habitats (water, shelter)
Spread awareness in your community
For Schools Through our education programs, students can:
Learn about pollinators and ecosystems
Create school pollinator gardens
Participate in weekly observation activities
Become young scientists and conservation champions! Why Your Participation Matters Every observation helps us:
Understand pollinator diversity in Nepal
Track seasonal and regional patterns
Inform conservation efforts and policies
