STEAM in Environment

STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics) Education is an approach to provide platform for the students to learn and gain knowledge by engaging themselves in problem solving and experiential learning activities that enhance their creativity, innovation and collaboration skills, and critical thinking.

WCN believes STEAM education can be more fun and interactive with incorporation of Environment education. Environment itself is a tangible theme that can be integrated with other broad themes like science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics.  WCN’s education program NPP has developed several lesson plans and hands on activities, which shows that environment, can be a pathway to STEAM learning. NPP’s STEAM in environment program focuses on changing the methods that are used to teach any topics in class, breaking new ground in terms of approach to learning and reaching to all target groups of both formal and informal education mediums. This new approach can engage students with alternative fun approaches that puts learners at center, are hands-on and interactive, along with assessments and evaluations that are integrative.
