Training and Installation of Improved Cooking Stoves (ICS)

WCN aimed to promote Improved Cooking Stoves (ICS) in Chitwan district to cut off the fire wood consumption as well as to improve the health of women and children. WCN/NPP introduced child to home to community in collaboration with Shree Dhanauji Lower Secondary School in Patihani. The students performed a street drama in Botetole of Patihani VDC on December 20th, 2012 to sensitize the community members about the advantages of ICS. A local trainer Mr. Bhim Bahadur Rawat provided the training for the making and installation of ICS in six households from December 20th-22nd, 2012 and two students of the school worked as social mobilizers.
