Sit on a ton of CO2

Wildlife Conservation Nepal (WCN), Association of Family Forest Owners Nepal (AFFON) and Life School Center, Dhanusha together launched "Ban Digopan ko Adhar " a global campaign today with an aim to promote forests, forest growers and the forest values. The Campaign was launched today at Basantapur Durbarsquare with the installation of a 1 ton CO2 wooden bench. The wooden bench is made out of Katus tree. His Honorable Minister for Forest and Environment, Mr. Shakti Bahadur Basnet, inaugurated the event. Representatives from the Department of Forest, FECOFUN, Wood based industry, Mayor of Tulsipur Municipality, local government authorities, schools and colleges were present in the event.

This campaign is a part of the global campaign initiated by the CISU program partners (Danish Forestry Extension, DFE, Denmark, FEA, Bosnia, More trees, Vietnam, AFFON, Nepal, LSC, Nepal and Mali folk center, Mali) on Forest as a source of livelihood are being launched in respective program countries.
