Exciting news from Dang District, Nepal! Thanks to the partnership between Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City, Wildlife Conservation Nepal (WCN), and support from GIZ and IKI Small Grant, Germany, we’re sparking a green revolution!
In the heart of Dang, amidst diverse terrain and climate challenges, we’re bringing clean energy to 5,000 homes across four wards among forest communities. Despite facing poverty and environmental stress, hope shines bright through our green solutions! We’ve empowered 433 individuals from 10 Community Forest User Groups with intensive orientation programs. Led by biogas expert Mr. Bhuwan Khanal, discussions on sustainable living and biogas technologies have ignited enthusiasm, especially among women.
Collaborations with local stakeholders has paved the way for progress to develop biogas plants, creating a more sustainable future for Dang. The Mayor of Tulsipur Mr. Tikaram Khadka inaugurated the first 50 biogas units already gracing Tulsipur’s households and also assured continuous support to the program as we gear up to installing 150 more units by year-end!
Together, we’re illuminating the path towards a more resilient and environmentally conscious future for Dang District. Let’s continue to #GOGREEN and make a positive impact!
