Massive earthquake in April 2015 in Nepal was a life learning experience for everyone. As an initiative, WCN strategized Disaster Risk Management Education program for schools as well as local communities. This initiative focused on identifying and mapping possible capacities to reduce the impact of natural disasters and climate risks in rural and urban areas. Awareness programs, workshops and trainings are some of the approaches to build strategies to prevent possible disaster risk, reduce its impact and strengthen their capacities to cope with disaster.
