WCN Announces Prem Conservation Grant
Wildlife Conservation Nepal (WCN) invites students in their final year of Masters degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering, Botany and Zoology to apply for the "Prem Conservation Grant for WCN" to support in their thesis completion. This Conservation Grant has been established in memory of Late Mr. Prem Pradhan (Shrestha)’s to honor his hard work in Nepal’s social and economic development, set up by his daughter and former employee of WCN, Ms. Samridhi Shrestha, PhD. The Research Grant focuses to encourage young scientists who have potential to become leaders in their discipline and provide solution to environmental problems for a larger community.

Grant Amount: NRs. 50,000/- for selected two grantees each

Mr. Prem Bahadur Pradhan (Shrestha) was the former joint secretary to the Ministry of Land Reform & Management and also served as a Member Secretary to the Land less Peoples’ Problem Resolution Committee. Born in Nepal and decorated with the Suprasiddha Gorkha Daksin Bahu, he always believed in investing in knowledge. A naturalist by heart, Late Mr. Pradhan was always passionate about encouraging young individuals to become leaders in their field.

Eligibility:
An applicant must be a citizen of Nepal. Applicants must be in final year of Master's degree of Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering, Botany and Zoology in a Nepali University.

Selection:
Applications will be evaluated by Selection Team at WCN. And, final decision will be at the discretion of WCN.

Deadlines:
Please fill up this form and submit it by no later than May 15, 2021. Incomplete applications, or application after the deadline shall not be accepted.
