Wildlife Conservation Nepal is pleased to announce the recipients of the PREM CONSERVATION GRANT, 2023. Big Congratulations to Mr. Binit Timalsina and Mr. Nabaraj Pokharel.
Mr. Binit Timalsina is currently doing his Master's in Environmental Science Specialization in Restoration Ecology and Water Resource Management from Central Department of Environmental Science, TU. His Research Title is, "IMPACTS OF MICROPLASTIC CONTAMINATION IN WETLANDS AND WETLAND-DEPENDENT AVIFAUNA OF KOSHI TAPPU AND MAIPOKHARI, RAMSAR SITES OF EASTERN NEPAL".
Mr.Nabaraj Pokharel is currently doing his Master's in Environmental Science Specialization in Wildlife ecology from Central Department of Environmental Science,TU. His Research Title is, "CORRELATING AVAIN DIVERSITY AND ENVIRONMENT DRIVERS ALONG ELEVATIONAL GRADIENT IN THE GOSAINKUNDA TRAIL, NEPAL."
The Research proposals were judged by Dr. Samridhi Shreshtha who is the Founder of WCN Prem Conservation Grant and full-time faculty of Grand Canyon University, Arizon, USA and also a former employee and a long-time friend of WCN, Mr. Prakash Chandra Aryal, coordinator of Goldengate International College and also an advisor of WCN, and Prof. Dr. Surya Ratna Guvaju, Department of Zoology, Tribhuwan University who is also the Chair of WCN.
The Research Grant focuses to encourage young scientists who have the potential to become leaders in their discipline and provide a solution to environmental problems for a larger community.
