I. School Program

WCN always prioritizes environment education as one of its key strategic approach. Through Nepal Prakriti Pathshala (NPP), WCN has been able to internalize the importance of conservation program and is recognized as a promoter of Environment and Conservation Awareness program in urban and rural areas. To contribute to higher awareness and behavioral change towards responsible natural resource use in Nepal WCN NPP began its school program by promoting more hands-on Environmental Education (EE) in schools.

2. Green School Program

The Government of Nepal promulgated a Green School Directive in 2018 directing all schools of Nepal to embrace green practices and create environmentally friendly schools.

Green home concept for school children is an extension of eco smart school certification program of WCN and GREEN SCHOOL PROGRAM of the Government of Nepal (facilitated by WCN’s NPP for the government) .
