WCN’s Nepal Prakriti Pathshala (NPP) in partnership with Danish Forestry Extension (DFE, Denmark) is dedicating the month of November 2018 to develop a baseline of environmental problems and building advocacy on solving concurrent environmental problems in Nepal. WCN is planning to conduct various programs and discourses for different target groups like students, teachers, academia, policy makers, media and the general public throughout the month of November.

November 24, 2018 : Beat the Plastic Pollution
WCN/NPP will be collaborating with Alliance Francaise and many other partners in their biennial event Planet Nepal on the theme “Beat The Plastic Pollution”. WCN will be putting up stalls and exhibits focused on instigating behavioral change towards plastic use. WCN will also be organizing work stations where students of different ages can come and participate in hands-on activities on thinking creatively about waste.
We expect participation of more than 2000 individuals from different walks of life in the program, including Eco-Smart Member Schools.

Some of the activities in the stations will include:
– Waste sorting activities
– Paper DIY
