With the intelligence provided by WCN intelligence unit, Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Crime Division-Nepal Police successfully arrested three persons with 21.4kgs of Elephant tusks and different wildlife derivatives from Kathmandu Residency located at Bagdol, Lalitpur on Thursday 18 April 2013. Arrested persons were submitted to Metropolitan Police Crime Division, Hanumandhoka, Kahtmandu for the further interrogation.

The Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police together with South Asia Wildlife Enforcement Network (SAWEN) Secretariat Nepal carried out a month-long (January 7-February 5) operation code named ‘COBRA’ which yielded a huge cache of wildlife body parts, leading to the arrest of racketeers.
