WCN with the support of SOS Malta organized a 10 day training on Eco Tourism, Cooking and Hospitality where 9 participants from Gatlang Village, Rasuwa participated. The training was organized to strengthen the capacity of the local community in Eco Tourism of Gatlang. Gatlang Village is among the worst hit village during the April 2015 earthquake.

Six teachers were awarded with the title of Eco Teacher. The Teachers sucessfully completed their assigned task after participating in the three day National Teachers Training on Interactive Environmental Education and Local Curriculum on Environment on February 2016 in Kathmandu.

WCN along with its partners, Danish Forestry Extension, Himalayan Bio Trade Pvt. Ltd., Biosynergy launched its new phase on community forestry program funded by Nordic Development Fund on March 20 and 21, 2017 on “Reducing vulnerability to climate change in rural Nepal by supporting local business development based on forest-land-management-renewable energy initiatives”.

Fifth National Eco Teachers Training was conducted at Education training Center, Dipayal, Doti on March 7-9, 2017 where 70 Science and Environment Teachers from six different districts Achham, Bajura, Baitadi, Doti, Dadeldhura and Kailali participated.
